Family Outings in South Florida for Free!

blog

Do you love getting out of the house and spending quality time with your family? Do you like educational experiences for your children? Are you on a budget? Or maybe you’re just visiting the area and looking for some fun.

Here’s a list of what I have found so far that can be done FREE or very very cheap!

We checked out the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium today. We spent about 2.5 hours there, had we done the Planetarium would have spent longer. Any Bank Of America customers get FREE admission on the first full weekend of every month (Saturday and Sunday). However it’s only for the bank cardholder so we did have to pay for the kids. But for $11 each kid we still made out well.

Under the Bank of America Museums on Us program bank card holders can get into(these are more kid oriented):

South Florida Science Center– Palm Beach

Museum of Discovery and Science-Fort Lauderdale

Miami Children’s Museum-Miami

Coral Gables Museum-Miami

For a full list check the Bank Of America website

The following Museums/Places are free everyday:

Norton Museum of Art-Palm Beach

Children’s Science Explorium at Sugar Sand Park-Boca Raton

Manatee Lagoon– West Palm Beach

Another great place to search for Museums in your area is this website. These are Museums that are connected with Smithsonian and either offer Free admission everyday or they have a special Museum day on September 24, you just have to request tickets on the website mentioned above!

If you feel like catching a baseball game, Roger Dean Stadium offers Dollar Days once a month during baseball season. Not only is your ticket just $1, but so are hotdogs, drinks, nachos, popcorn etc. That is a deal that can’t be beat. We are really looking forward to this.

Of course as always many of the Beaches are free! I will continue to update this list if I find anymore, but this list should be a good start! I know it will keep us busy for awhile. Here are some photos from our day at the South Florida Science Center.
